Placing An Order
Finding books by grade level:
Books are listed by grade level only if your school specifies that format. If this is the case, you can locate books by the student's grade level simply by clicking on the grade level within a catalog in the main section of the Order Books page, or by the category tree on the left-side panel.
Finding books by subject:
Most high schools prefer to have the booklist sorted by subject and course (and section, if applicable). To locate books by subject, click on the subject within a catalog on the main screen of the Order Books page or by the category tree on the left-side panel.
Are these the correct books?
The books listed are the exact edition, year, and ISBN the teacher specified for the class, approved by your school. Any issue resulting directly from a listing error by MySchoolBookstore.com will be corrected at no extra cost to you.
How do I know what courses I'm taking?
The school will provide a list of all the courses for which the student is enrolled (a.k.a. Class Schedule). In the event you have not received a Class Schedule, please contact the school. Class schedules are not available from MySchoolBookstore.com.
Experienced (used) books unavailable:
MySchoolBookstore.com offers two grades (a.k.a. conditions) of experienced (used) books: Quality and Bargain. If there is no option to purchase a certain book in a certain condition, it means the condition is not available. In other words, if there are no experienced books listed, we are sold out of those specific experienced books.
Different Billing and/or Shipping Address:
During the Checkout Process on the "Review and Submit Your Order" page, you will need to verify your billing and shipping address. If either of these addresses need to be changed you may do so at that time by clicking the "Change" button. You will then be able to enter a different billing and/or shipping address. The billing address must match the billing address of the credit card being used to pay for the order. You may choose to ship your order to a different address from the billing address. The shipping address must be in the United States, and please remember that UPS will not deliver to a Post Office Box.
Shipping Method:
In the Shipping Method section of the "Review and Submit Your Order" page, verify the method you would like your books shipped. If you decide to change how your books are shipped after you have submit your order, DO NOT go back to change it. Pressing the back button at any time after you have pressed the "Submit Order" button may cause serious problems with your order. Finish placing your order, and contact the MySchoolBookstore.com customer service department immediately so we may change the shipping method without further trouble. We offer Ground, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air methods of shipping by UPS.
Keep in mind that we are located in southern California, so please select an appropriate shipping method based on your shipping address. For example, if you are in Los Angeles, select only UPS Ground shipping, as UPS will only take 1 day to deliver your books after they have picked up the shipment from MySchoolBookstore.com. It would not make sense to pay the extra charge for 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air, as your order would not get to you any sooner. You may visit UPS.com to see their shipping timetables if you are unsure (our zip code is 92301).
Changing/Removing a Book:
You may change or remove a book via the website only BEFORE you have submitted your order. Once the order is submitted, it cannot be changed.
Payment Method:
Please refer to the Payment Options page in the FAQ section.
Confirmation:
Once you place your order, you will receive an email confirmation for it. Once we ship your order, you will receive an email confirmation of what books were shipped, including a UPS tracking number so you can track the package.
To view your order history, click the "My Account" link at the top of the webpage and then click the "See Orders" link in the Orders section. You will see a list of your orders. Click the date link on any order to view more details about it.
